I have a reoccurring dream where I go to the same blue house with a man made pond in the front with blue and white stones surrounding it at the beginning of a an uphill journey to a home of someone who knew a loved one who died. The house has two older women who sometimes are helpful in guiding me and sometimes they are not. The path is the same every time (at least in the beginning) but I don’t always get there . I beleive I’ve gotten there once or twice, to a beautiful home at the top of the mountain that is big and the yard is lush and owned by a warm and lovely old woman who my loved one once knew. The path up isn’t as nice. Usually smaller houses with desert like land surrounding. In my recent dreams, the homes there have had to be evacuated so they are empty. In my most recent dream last night, I reached this house, almost started the journey, saw the early small homes and the women told me about them being empty. I recognized the homes but felt an emptiness as they described how the families had to evacuate. When I was ready to start walking a flood had hit and made it hard to walk. The women in the blue home said “there’s a flood now and this is not the time to walk up. You have to come when there isn’t a flood”. So I turned around and walked out of the blue house where I entered from. I was admiring the outside before I went back down and then i woke up.
Dreams often serve as reflections of our inner thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Your recurring dream about the blue house, the journey, and the older women can be interpreted in several ways. 1. **The Blue House and Journey**: The blue house might symbolize a place of safety, peace, or emotional stability, perhaps representing a connection to your past or your loved one who has passed away. The uphill journey signifies striving toward a goal or a desire for connection, possibly with your lost loved one or through your grief. 2. **Empty Homes and Evacuations**: The emptiness of the homes along your path may reflect feelings of loss, abandonment, or grief. This could represent the impact of your loved one’s absence—how their departure has left a void in your life and in those spaces that once held memories of them. The evacuation might indicate that you are in a process of letting go or that certain aspects of your past life are no longer accessible or relevant. 3. **The Older Women**: These figures can serve as guides through your grief and emotional journey. Their inconsistent support suggests the unpredictable nature of healing; sometimes, you may feel guided and understood, while at other times, you may feel lost or unsupported. 4. **The Flood**: The flood in your recent dream symbolizes overwhelming emotions or situations that hinder progress. Just as floods can destroy paths and create barriers, feelings of grief or unresolved emotions can make it difficult to continue your journey toward healing or closure. The message from the women about waiting for a better time to walk indicates a need for patience and readiness before embarking on difficult emotional tasks. 5. **Reflection on Time and Readiness**: The dream suggests that there may be an aspect of your healing process that is not yet complete—you may need to wait for the emotional “flood” to recede before you can truly engage with your grief or continue the journey upward. In essence, this dream can be seen as a metaphor for your personal journey through loss, highlighting themes of reflection, emotional progress, and the importance of timing and readiness in facing feelings of grief. It might be beneficial to explore your feelings about this loss more deeply while allowing yourself the necessary time to process and heal.
